There are several different types of warranties for equipment and installation work.
Solar panel warranty period:
This type of warranty covers 15-20 years depending on the solar panel manufacturer. This warranty covers the minimum power output during the solar panel warranty period. Industry standard and warranty specify that the panel should get at least 80% power output, so one installed solar panel will still operate at 80% after 20 years.
Foundation mounting path warranty:
This warranty covers conditions where solar panels and related equipment are improperly installed. These types of warranties generally last 2 years. Most of these warranties cover parts such as repairing, adjusting system elements, replacing damaged parts during transportation. The Wanhos brand foundation mounting path we install has a 5-year warranty from the factory.
Inverter warranty period:
The main role of the inverter or converter is to convert direct current (DC) energy generated by solar electrical energy into alternating current (AC) power usable in homes and businesses. 2-5 years (warranty varies depending on manufacturer) Inverter warranty generally covers manufacturing defects and errors. Inverter warranty does not cover improper installation, normal wear and tear from exceptional circumstances, improper maintenance, etc. The Growatt Inverter we install has a 5-year warranty from the factory.
