By using solar energy and all types of renewable energy, countries around the world are creating independence from depleting natural resources, moving toward sustainable energy development, positively affecting global warming, and supporting the digital transformation of production and efficient operation of gas energy.
In the last 10 years, thanks to the benefits of digital transformation, solar module production and solar system production costs have decreased very rapidly, and the unit solar system price calculated per 1kWh has decreased to a remarkable level. As we all see, technology and usage producing energy using solar energy are about to completely surpass and exceed the needs of energy systems produced using natural resources.
Currently, our southern neighbor China has an installed capacity of 255,000 MW using solar energy, equivalent to 35% of global solar energy production. As years go by, this installed capacity increases and production costs decrease, creating a huge advantage for purchasing countries.
Mongolia has tremendous solar radiation resources, with an average of 270-300 sunny days per year. 4.3-5.3kW*h/m2 per day is available.
Our country plans to obtain 30% of total energy consumption from renewable energy by 2030, and of the planned total 924MW renewable energy permits, approximately 247 MW will come from solar energy.
While Mongolia's economy and energy generator appearance have been colored by "coal" or black gold in recent years, we have a bright future to be illuminated by renewable energy in the next 10 years.
